It is to be regretted that the mass entertainment industry has not yet got its head around the internet revolution and its benefits. We remember how Metallica sold MORE records while being distributed by the original illegal Napster. Free distribution ensures that many more people get to see and hear the artists' products, and those that like the stuff and have the money buy original physical material (i.e the CD/DVD) do buy it, and in correspondingly greater numbers, while those that see/hear the material for free (often in lesser quality) are simply a good Karma side-effect. God loves a cheerful giver. I've spend thousands on CDs and DVDs and can't be expected to purchase everything in original, if I can't preview for free there's much stuff I simply couldn't be bothered with.
